Available Courses

  • During this unit of work students will produce plans, drawings and construction of lockers that they will use throughout their highschool career. The lockers will be made from mixed materials and the students will explore and experiment with a variety of materials to develop an aesthetically pleasing and functional storage system.
  • During this unit of work you will be studying how computers are made and how they operate. We will be studying how to present information in various forms, e.g. websites, databases and visual presentations.
  • Students will experience the use of different methods to produce plants that can be used for human consumption. Students will be able to identify different types of assistance used to encourage plant growth and study different a variety of methods of harvesting. Consideration will be given to the industrialisation of food production and how this has impacted on the product of raw materials.
  • In this unit of work students will develop an understanding of the design process and also work with hand tools using wood. The students will be carving a wooden bowl.

    During this course you will be producing a personal introduction card using Lineform. You will also be producing a magazine cover. There are 3 assignments during this course, 20% for the egg project, 40% for your personal introduction card and 40% for your magazine cover.
  • During this unit of work students will identify the consequences of risk behaviours and describe strategies to minimise harm, describe the benefits of a balanced lifestyle and participation in a physical activity and explain how personal strength and ability contribute to enjoyable and successful participation in physical activity.
  • During this unit of work students will identify and select strategies that enhance their ability to cope and feel support, students will also describe the qualities of positive relationships and strategies to address the abuse of power.
  • During this unit with will be investigating who you are and what influences you.
  • Sewing Machine

    This course is designed for class 9 and 10 students studying the Textiles elective. We will be investigating a lot of different areas of the textiles industry. You will be involved in a lot of practical projects and a reasonable amount of your assessment tasks may be completed online. Check this course frequently to keep track of where we are up to.
  • This is a stage 5 unit on poetry and music.
  • During this course students will design either a gardening system to generate vegetables and or fruit for the school community or develop a system for recycling food scraps and developing a compost system within the school.
  • This module has been set up to allow students to practice and extend their skills in the use of computers and computer technology. There is an opportunity to work through some sample questions from previous School Certificate Exams (Year 10) as well as other activities to generally help you increase your computer knowledge.

    Everyone in class 8 and up is welcome to work through these topics, this is an optional course that will help you and is not mandatory! Any questions please contact Paul.
